"Even by the standards of Block Island, Meadows is in an idyllic location, tucked away down a series of dirt roads on the quiet Southwest side. It's perfect for families who are looking for biking and hiking on their vacations in addition to daily trips to the beach. It's just a short walk from the breathtaking cliffs at Dickens Point, and the large Rodman's Hollow nature preserve is just a quick bike or car trip away. You can even ride up there on a horse, courtesy of the Rustic Rides Horse Farm just a little ways down the road. There's a lovely view of the ocean from the upstairs bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and the owner offers free access to her well-tended vegetable garden. We had fresh tomatoes all week!"
